2010 Board to take office

Elected officers for the 2010 Board of Officers will assume their responsibilities on January 5. Chapter President will be Beth Leach, First Vice President is Kathy McGaughey, Second Vice President will be Lance Royer, Past President James Reed, Executive Council Representative will be Michelle Abbott, Executive-Committee Person Brad Gilges, and Secretary/Treasurer Donnette Ellegood.

2009 Telecommunicator of the Year

A nomination package for the 2009 Telecommunicator of the Year has been placed on the KSAPCO website at http://www.ksapco.net/TCOY.html. Kansas APCO welcomes nominations for this honor.

Conference round-up

Approximately 135 people attended the Kansas APCO Fall Conference held this past week in Salina. Along with a host of training classes, officers for the 2010 year were elected at the annual business meeting.
Assuming their duties on January 1 will be; James A. Reed, Past President; Beth Leach, President; Kathy McGaughey, 1st Vice President; Lance Royer, 2nd Vice President; Donnette Ellegood, Secretary/Treasurer; Michele Abbott, Executive Council Representative; and Brad Gilges, Executive Committee Person.

A Direct-Bill form for the Salina Ramada Inn has been added to the Fall'09 Conference Page. This form can be completed and submitted to the Ramada to arrange for direct billing of rooms.

Election of officers to be held at Fall Conference: Candidates sought

Candidates are being sought to serve on the Kansas Chapter Board of Officers for the 2010 year. Open seats include the 2nd Vice President, Secretary/Treasurer, Executive Committee-Person, and Executive Council Representative.

The 2nd Vice President automatically assumes the position of 1st Vice President, President, and Past President after serving one year terms in each position.

Information on the responsibilities of each position, as well as a Declaration of Candidacy Form can be found on the Kansas APCO website at http://ksapco.net/elections.html.
