2009 Telecommunicator of the Year Nominations

The packet for Telecommunicator of the Year award has been placed on the Kansas APCO web page, http://www.ksapco.net/TCOY.html. Please review the past year for your center looking for those people that go above and beyond, whether on one incident or their performance all year. Nominees do NOT have to be members of APCO. Easterly receives Chapter Life Membership

As one of his last official duties as President of the Kansas Chapter, James A. Reed corrected an oversight from 2006 by presenting Kenny Easterly with the Chapter Life Membership. Kenny is a former Chapter President of Kansas APCO and served many years as the Chapter Committee Person. Congratulations Kenny!

2010 Membership Form

The membership form for 2010 has been posted on the website. We'd love to have you join APCO.

Website changes

The website has been updated to include a new look, in addition to addition of the 2010 Board of Officers, new resource information, and other revisions. Don't forget to send your agency news to the webmaster, as well as agency information if you'd like your agency to be listed on the PSAPs & Dispatch Centers page.

2010 Board to take office

Elected officers for the 2010 Board of Officers will assume their responsibilities on January 5. Chapter President will be Beth Leach, First Vice President is Kathy McGaughey, Second Vice President will be Lance Royer, Past President James Reed, Executive Council Representative will be Michelle Abbott, Executive-Committee Person Brad Gilges, and Secretary/Treasurer Donnette Ellegood.
