KAC Update

Hearing on SB48 announced

Legislative Chairperson Michelle Abbbott reports that the hearing set for SB 48 tomorrow will be replaced with an overview of the bill provided by Legislative Research. The actual hearing on the bill, when testimony will be received,will begin on Wed, Feb. 10 at 1:30 p.m., and carry over to Thurs, Feb 11 at 1:30 p.m. if they run out of time. The hearing will be before the Senate Utilities Committee. Committee members include Pat Apple-Louisburg - Chair, Ty Masterson - Andover, Marci Francisco-Lawrence, Mark Taddiken-Clifton, Roger P Reitz-Manhattan, Karin S. Brownlee-Olathe, Mike Petersen-Wichita - Vice Chair, Carolyn McGinn-Sedgwick, Terry Bruce-Hutchinson, Jay Scott Emler-Lindsborg, and Janis K Lee-Kensington.

Legislative Updates

Updates on SB48/HB2423 have been posted to the legislation page at http://www.ksapco.net/. The bill passed the House on February 3 by a vote of 106-15.
